The agri-food industry is one of the key pillars of Arag\u00f3n\u2019s economy.<\/strong> Its strength lies not only in primary production, but across the entire value chain: processing, meat production, animal feed, cereals, logistics and exports. The Arag\u00f3n Agri-Food Action Plan 2025\u20132028 itself identifies the sector as strategic for the region\u2019s economic development. <\/p>

The figures illustrate its scale. According to Mercasa, Arag\u00f3n\u2019s food industry generates \u20ac7.732 billion in annual turnover. The meat industry alone accounts for \u20ac2.868 billion, while milling and starch production contribute a further \u20ac450 million.In international trade, Arag\u00f3n\u2019s food industry <\/strong>closed 2025 with \u20ac3.555 billion in exports, the second-highest figure in its historical series, according to data published in March 2026. <\/p>

These figures become even more meaningful when linked to the companies behind them. In the province of Huesca, Litera Meat led the ranking in 2023 with a turnover of \u20ac886.4 million, followed by Mazana Piensos with \u20ac559.2 million, Fribin Foods with \u20ac407.1 million and Cincaporc with \u20ac383.9 million. In Zaragoza, C\u00e1rnicas Cinco Villas exceeded \u20ac670.1 million in revenue.
This helps explain why Bin\u00e9far and its surrounding area have become one of Spain\u2019s leading agri-industrial hubs, particularly within the meat-processing sector.<\/p>

In the case of dehydrated forage,<\/strong> it is more appropriate to speak of a sectoral ecosystem than of a single company. This network includes businesses and cooperatives such as Forrajes San Mateo, Navarro-Aragonesa de Forrajes, NAFOSA, Cooperativa Comarcal del Campo Virgen de la Corona, Cooperativa Agraria San Miguel de Fuentes de Ebro, Industrias Agr\u00edcolas de Los Monegros, La Pastora-Quinto and Indasa. <\/p>

For this reason, when discussing agri-industry in Arag\u00f3n, the conversation extends far beyond agriculture itself. It is about a powerful processing industry, supported by large-scale companies, strong territorial roots and significant export capacity.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
